The HT-DUAL offers the ultimate in high voltage valve distortion flexibility. Channel 1 has either Clean or Crunch modes so it can be used clean, as a boost or overdrive. Channel 2 gives distortion tones from super crunch right up to screaming lead. The unique switching operation will transform a single channel vintage amp into a three channel tone machine. The ISF control takes you from ‘British Valve’ to ‘Modern American’ and anywhere in between and the no compromise speaker emulated output lets you get it all down to tape or disk.
• Genuine valve design
• Operates at 300V HT
• Cascaded valve gain stages
• Responds like a valve amp
• 2 channel operation
• Clean, Crunch & Lead modes
• Unique switching operation
• Unique enhanced tone controls
• Exclusive Infinite Shape Feature (ISF)
• Fully equipped for stage or studio
• Speaker emulated output
• High integrity buffered bypass
• Power supply included
• Silent switching.

my review:
On channel 1 you can get a nice crunchy sound, or with a lower gain setting it can act as a clean boost. On channel 2 you get the creamiest distortion - something you don't find on every random distortion pedal. It has a very nice tube simulation.
It's virtually impossible to see the settings clearly on a dim stage.
The stacked gain and volume knobs drag against each other, meaning that it is too easy to accidentally alter the gain or volume on one channel when adjusting the other. Also, the volume knob for Channel 2 lacks precision and it can be fiddly to get the level right. Yes it is only solid state gain stages to drive the valve into distortion.
Frankly the tone is fantastic and at less than half the price of some of the other products on the market is great value fo money.I've heard swapping out Sovtek 12AX7 for a JJ or Tung-Sol produces even better results.
Only two minor complaints: the power supply, and the direct output.
The power supply is 16V AC, so that means you can't power it from any pedalboard power supply like the Pedal Power or DC Brick.
And the direct, speaker-emulated output seems to have a pretty low output level.
